Ministry Risk Management
Last year churches were involved in over 11,000 lawsuits; the number one claim being sexual misconduct. In our litigious society, churches need to exercise reasonable care as they carry out their various ministries. The legal definition of reasonable care is the degree of caution and concern for safety an ordinarily prudent and rational person would use in the circumstances. Therefore negligence, as defined by law, is a failure to exercise reasonable care.
Insurance is designed to provide coverage should the need arise. Our Risk Management system is designed to educate you on the common areas of risk that churches face today and how to implement safe guards with reasonable care.
Unlike other carrier’s programs, we don’t tell you what to do, we help you do it. We provide risk management seminars for our clients to assist in addressing and implementing these programs.
